What We Offer:

Just as the ancient alchemists were looking to apply a mixture of craft and science to a base material to transform it into gold – we believe that what we do is a combination of art, skill, science and technology, all tied together with passion. Our roasting style tends to be a light roast, designed to bring the best out of some amazing specialty coffees. Our branding was designed with the principles of the alchemists at heart – our logo an adaptation of the symbol for gold, and behind it triangular shapes resembling the symbols for earth, water, air and fire.

Great coffee and wonderful latte art.
Amazing coffee and pastries in a quirky location. The staff are lovely, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Definitely worth a visit and will no doubt become a Shoreditch hotspot in no time at all.

Maria’s Market Cafe is a Borough Market institution, named after its founder Maria Moruzzi, whose parents opened Borough Cafe on Park Street in 1961. After many decades of frying bacon, brewing tea and serving everyone from market porters to Hollywood film stars, Maria has finally retired, but her legacy lives on. Now under new ownership, the cafe, which is located in the heart of Three Crown Square, continues to be the place to go for its famous bubble and squeak, hearty breakfasts, lunchtime sandwiches and hot drinks.

We are in love with Maria’s market cafe! We visited London for four days and went back repeatedly to Maria’s for the delicious breakfast. The staff is very kind and provide wonderful service. We enjoyed chatting with them while waiting for our breakfast to be cooked up. Truly was one of our favorite experiences while visiting London. Please give it a go! You won’t be disappointed.
Had an excellent bacon and bubble here priced at 3 pound. The bacon was delicious cooked and the bubble had an amazing flavour and char. All fresh off the flat top which looked incredible. Lovely ambiance and friendly patron.
Friendly ladies cooking basic but tasty English breakfasts. The sausages were butchers quality and the lack of pretension was refreshing. You don’t go here for smashed avocado and all that nonsense. Sausage chips and egg. Yum.

It’s a good place for a coffee if you want to sit and do a bit of work upstairs. I got their food and thought it was very mediocre. Got the toastie and they used the end pieces of a loaf of bread which was not great to have to pay for.
First time visiting, after lunch time on a Sunday, and we will definitely be back. The tea and scones were out of this world! Fresh and good! We had the sweet scones with the strawberry jam and earl grey tea. At first I was a little worried if I didn’t have enough clotted cream (I use a lot of it!) but even though we were upstairs the lady who we ordered from the counter came up to check it we needed more.
Highness make some of the best cakes I’ve ever tried. Banana muffin with Nutella is just out of this world. All the food and cakes are all made In house, I’ve never had.
